We’ve all heard people say, and probably said ourselves, ‘What on earth is God doing? Why doesn’t he make himself clearer? Where is God in all this?!’
Into the darkness of these questions, Jesus says: ‘I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life (John 8:12)’
We can say, ‘Now I get it. It makes sense.’
Through Jesus we can see the truth about life, God, and the future. My prayer is that we are a people who hold to the teaching of Jesus so that we walk in the light, and reflect his light to the people around us.
Will you commit to reading the Bible each day this week, so that together we can walk in light?

O Christ, our Morning Star, Splendour of Light Eternal, shining with the glory of the rainbow, come and waken us from the greyness of our apathy, and renew in us your gift of hope. Amen (The Venerable Bede, 672-735)
