The work of the Lord

A special welcome today to the Bowers. Chris, Deb, Katelyn (4), and Emily (2) Bowers are with Wycliffe Bible Translators and Moody Aviation in the USA. Chris trains aircraft pilots to fly people to the mission field in remote areas. Let’s make the most of today encouraging them, and being encouraged by them, as we work for the Lord together. To receive email updates:

Today we also return to our Bible study series on Proverbs, considering the topic of work. There is a lot in the Bible on work (not surprising since it such a large part of life) and so please take the time this week to prayerfully read the passages on the sermon outline (turn page over). My prayer is that we see our work priority as doing good works (regardless of what we do 9-5 Mon-Fri), always giving ourselves fully to the work of the Lord, remembering that all we do is in service to the Lord.

Finally, a big thanks for your prayers and help this week…

For those who prayed, baked, and invited friends to the Ladies Chocolate Night; and for Jo giving a great talk on why Jesus is better than chocolate. It sounded like a fun night!

For those who came to the Working Bee in Walgett yesterday. It was a really encouraging morning, and we got all the jobs done!!!

In Christ, Tory.
