Honestly, why did you come to church today?
Some weeks we don’t feel like it, it might even be wrong or mixed reasons, or some weeks even out of obligation for the church roster.
God encourages us to come out of joy and thankfulness, with confidence, because of the assurance of our salvation in Jesus Christ.
Our assurance of salvation means we don’t come to earn our salvation, or tick the religion box.
Assurance frees us from fear, guilt, and anxiety. What a burden to be released from!
Assurance means we can come together not for our own good, but for the good of others. Everything we need has been taken care of, so we are set free to focus on others.
Let’s not give up meeting together, but consider how we may love one another each week. Next week, have a read of Hebrews 10:19–25 before coming!
In Christ, Tory Cayzer.
