The Wrath of God Against Sin

What will God do about evil and injustices in our world?

Romans 1:18 gives a straight answer: The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of people, who suppress the truth by their wickedness.

The answer should give us a hope and comfort that God does care, and is doing something about it. His wrath is, and will, come on evil and injustices.

But Romans 1:18–32 shows the problem is bigger than we might realise: all of our hearts are darkened by sin, all of us have rejected God.

The only way to escape the wrath of God is to turn to our Saviour Jesus Christ. He absorbed God’s wrath on the Cross, and rose to give new life.

Let’s pray that more people turn to Jesus, and that we are not ashamed of the gospel of God as the power of salvation for all who believe (Romans 1:16).

In Christ, Tory Cayzer.
