Anxiety is worrying about the future. There are many solutions offered for anxiety: exposure therapy, medication, positive thinking, drugs etc
The Bible commands us to pray when anxious:
Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God (Philippians 4:6)
Prayer is bringing our concerns to the God who controls the future. It makes good sense to hand our worries about the future to the one who has the future in his hands.
What’s more, we have the assurance that when we take our concerns to God, the peace of God will guard our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Phil 4:7). We have nothing to worry about.
Feeling anxious? Take it to the Lord in prayer!
In Christ, Tory Cayzer.
