It’s easy to get ho-hum about Christmas; they don’t call it the ‘silly season’ for nothing. And as Christians it’s easy to get disillusioned by the materialism and commercialism; it’s sad to see how neglected Jesus Christ is at ‘Christ–mas.’
The genealogy of Jesus (Matthew 1:1–17) gives good news for Christmas. All of history culminates in the birth of this one baby, ‘who is called Christ.’
Christmas reminds us that God is faithful to his promises. Generations come and go, but God’s promises stand firm through it all.
This Christmas let’s celebrate God’s faithfulness and salvation, remembering it’s all about Jesus!
In Christ, Tory Cayzer.
