Surely the toughest aspect to the Christian life is having a foot in two worlds. While we know the joy of forgiveness of sin and new life in Jesus Christ, we feel the pull of the old life.
In the Bible book of Ephesians, the Apostle Paul describes the Christian life as a little piece of heaven on earth. We are an outpost of heaven, a new creation in Jesus Christ. And so what we think, say, and do is to be worthy of God’s plan of salvation in Jesus Christ.
As we start our topical series on Christian living, let’s encourage one another to live a life worthy of our calling in Jesus Christ, that we might be what we have already become by God’s grace, and that we not be conformed to this world, but to Christ and the world we truly belong to.
