Do you suffer FOMO?

Many Christians live in Fear Of Missing Out (FOMO), like people who spend their life on social media like Facebook checking what others are doing, and feeling like they are missing out.

There is a risk Christians suffer FOMO. Worried that others have got more, or are having more fun, or that we are not included in the action.

Jesus assures us that those who follow him miss nothing, in fact, they have far more:

‘I tell you the truth,’ Jesus said to them, ‘no one who has left home or wife or brothers or parents or children for the sake of the kingdom of God will fail to receive many times as much in this age and, in the age to come, eternal life.’ (Luke 18:29–30)

Let’s encourage one another to follow Jesus like Peter and the first disciples did – who ‘left all we had to follow you!’ (Luke 18:28) – knowing Jesus has given us many times as much in this age and the age to come.

In Christ, Tory Cayzer
