Our situation is far worse than we would like to admit. At the same time, God’s grace is far more amazing than we can imagine. That was God’s word to us in Ephesians 1:1–2:10 over the last two weeks.
The hymn writer Augustus Toplady (1740–78) said it in ‘Rock of Ages’ as:
Nothing in my hand I bring,
simply to Thy cross I cling;
naked, come to Thee for dress;
helpless, look to Thee for grace;
foul, I to the fountain fly;
wash me, Saviour, or I die.
God raised us from the dead to be alive with every spiritual blessing in Christ. He lavishes his grace upon us. All we can do is come to him with empty hands and cling to his grace in Jesus Christ.
Have you accepted his grace?
How does his grace overflow from you to others?
Let’s pray his grace will flow into our towns!
In Christ, Tory Cayzer.
